Donald M. Tuttle - Senior Minister
Born
and reared in West Virginia, Don left his home state to attend college in
Ohio. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications
from the University of Dayton (Ohio), he worked as a copy editor for newspapers
in Texas and Louisiana.
In 1985 he responded to God's call to ministry and left journalism to attend
Lexington Theological Seminary in Lexington, Kentucky, where he received a
Master of Divinity degree. Since being ordained to Christian ministry in 1988,
he has served congregations in Kentucky and Florida and was installed as
senior pastor at First Christian Church in Corpus Christi October 12, 1997.
The Tuttles (Joan) have two children - Ian born in
1991, and Owen, born in 1997. Don enjoys most sports, reading and politics
as well as time with his family.
Don believes that the church is intended by God to be a
community of people who embody the character of Jesus Christ, including the
virtues of humility, love, forgiveness, peace and compassion. email

Ruth Beal - Associate Minister
Ruth Beal, associate minister, born and reared in
Rusk, Texas. She is a life long Disciple. Ruth was licensed to
ministry by the Christian Church (Disciple of Christ) in the Southwest in 1978
and has served a number of churches in the
Southwest region since that time. Ruth was called to ministry at First Christian
Church in February 1998.
